I noticed last night that DISH has launched some of the local channels in HD. WCYB, WJHL, WKPT, and WEMT are now broadcasting HD programming via the satellite. Channels 28 and 36 are still in standard definition.
Not sure if DirecTV has already launched the local HD channels.

Direct has had local HD for a while now.
Not surprised. DirecTV is usually a few steps ahead.
Though, having had both, I think DISH has slightly better quality.
